| Yesterday, first in the Russian history biotech IPO took place at MICEX: the Human Stem Cells Institute (HSCI) raised 142.5 million rubles in exchange for 20% of shares. HSCI owns a stem umbilical blood cells bank and develops medicines on its base. The greater part of the company’s shares were acquired by natural persons; professional investors preferred to refrain from buying the shares: they were embarrassed by noisy advertising campaign and rather not transparent business model. |
