24 projects reached the semi-final of competition for Skolkovo Innovation Award supported by Cisco I-PRIZE

The results of semi-final of competition for Skolkovo Innovation Award supported by Cisco I-PRIZE have been summarized. Of 895 competition applications, 24 projects were selected – from residents of Dolgoprudnoe, Domodedovo, Yekaterinburg, Zelenograd, Korolev, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, and Yaroslavl. 21 project was defined by the jury members (including Cisco experts), and the rest 3 – by the participants of the poll at the competition web-site.

Now the semi-final participants have to carry out a new competitive task – to prepare a detailed business-plan of their project. Only 6 competitors will reach the final (in May). Three winners will be rewarded by target grants of Cisco to the total amount of 5 250 ths rub.

“It wasn’t easy to select applications for participation in semi-final: many bright and interesting projects were presented to the competition. It’s gratefully to note that among the finalists there were many start-up teams aimed at the development of modern technologies for education and healthcare improvement. The Cisco goal – to attract attention to such projects and support them”, – says Cisco operation manager Anna Gnatyuk.

Let us remember that the competition “Skolkovo Innovation Award supported by Cisco I-PRIZE” is designed to support the start-up projects which can become a base for new technological companies’ development in Russia. The projects on development and use of network and cloud technologies in the fields of energy saving, health care and education take part in the competition.
